DISTINGUISHED WITH THE MOROSOLI AWARD FOR FASHION DESIGN 2019
On 7 December 2019, the Industrial Textile Designer and Director of Ruralanas, Virginia Montoro, was distinguished with the Bronze Morosoli Award for Fashion Design.
BEYOND BORDERS
Ruralanas has successfully expanded to Ecuador and Colombia, training native communities and local artisans. Its vision is to replicate the model throughout South America, respecting the cultural identity of each region.
PROPERTIES OF WOOL
It is one of the oldest and most valuable fibres known to humankind. Although there are many synthetic and artificial fibres available today, science has not yet succeeded in replicating one that can match the extraordinary properties of wool.
